Coming up on Dursey Island point in about 2 hours, nice beam sailing under reacher...good time for a nice heady Guinness, eh Gerry?
Great idea, good topper for a nice afternoon! Can't get too lax, though...Ard's wanting to polish me bum with his bow-plate! |

Hallo Round Ireland Sailors
thanks for cheering me and Barry, but I can't catch him ........yet
I lost some time as in the middle of the night , I had to use the new sail Reacher. First I did unpack the other new sail Runner , with my sleepy head so lost even more time
But now chasing again and stronger winds ahead of us.
We are holding up nice in progress with the leaders in the real wet water fleet.
For those who want to follow the real race you may read the Captains Blog http://www.roundirelandyachtrace.ie/captains-blog.html
the autor is also sailing in LS, have to try find his boat
got is the boat is named secsie and she is sailing just ahead of Yale69
an update of progress ranking for 00 hrs

Avatar in an Excellent first place in the EF fleet and 2nd Overall
Increased his lead on Suratna in second place and Fat Duck (I told you before watch out for the rejuvenated Duck ) in a very good 3rd place .
All boats are sailing in one nice line along the SW coast of Ireland, upto the western coast with legandary places like Gallaway and Donegal with what I now see is a stronger southern wind.
Will be nice sailing tonight/ today
Marineri is visiting the Irish coast most likely to stock up on Guinness
Jutta is hesitating which way to go : more west follow the other boats
And Later yesterday I saw that Sunshine1 has started this race as well , have to make up for some miles
fair winds and Guinness for /quote] |

Decisions, decisions...whether to short-jybe up to the next mark, or just set the runner and have a snooze....body says sleep, brain says "RHUM!!"..
Boat says "Quit flailing around..you got a horde on yer arse!"
Carry on all, sail safe and well |

Bingo!
Land! Land! I discovered a piece of land
Lucky I have a tape with me. I won't sink
Warning for those behind me: don't sail too close to the buoy of gate 3. This buoy is made of stone!
Fair winds,
Daria |

if you would ask me, but luckily nobody asked me
than the present French footbal team shall be send home complete, now. maybe even without playing their ultimate game, which will be a waste of time anyway.
All the players have shown in two games that the best amateur players in France would be better then all the high paid "professionals"
The coach is not able to manage a team ,so sack him as well.
and now , make a selection for a young manager/trainer who understand nowadays footbal
than let them select from those players not in the selection for the SA cup a group of well playing and eager footballers to be trained for the next World cup
voila , ces si |

Daria,
since i see my boat in that screenshot too, i thought i would post my track around bouy 3. You must have missed getting around it by less than 1 pixel, because I think I made it around by less than 1 pixel

Mes Amis: No need to trash France - only this "team" (sic)
Different subject: My "Runner" has now been re-tailored as "Parachute Trousers" ('80s? ).
I'm going to DEMAND that my Sailmaker reimburse me for the cost of this sail.... (only has a speed advantage of 0.1 kts in a "pinch")
(back to development, LS needs to re-look these polars.... "My" Akiliria sails different) |

hallo phil
I was also seeing very little difference between Runner and Reacher
but then when going straight before the wind the difference is a little better and it could be an interesting sail
