Hi guys. Thought i'd create this thread so we can pass on info to each other that doesn't get lost as it does in the club chat:
First item: who's running CK9 in the Christmas race? I entered her (lol) and set up a very preliminary route that her captain needs to re route his way.
Second item: can we have the CK9 logo added as the club burgee for people who don't want to use it as their profile picture.
Item three : some of us have traded passwords in order for others to babysit our boats during races. Especially as we are a multinational club and this is a busy time of year for most, we thought this would be a good idea. I'm certain we can all be trusted and if there is ever an issue it's quite simple to change your password at anytime. just posting this idea as information.
Item Four: we need to decide very soon if the club is agreed to sail CK9 the west to east in the xxl. there is a reverse around the world race coming up soon so we'll get to do it then anyway. please post any thoughts.
Item Five: I invited sailing for beers to the club. hope that is ok. based on his name alone i'd say we have something in common LOL. he also seems to be in the places and races we are quite often so i thought what the heck. that's all i have for now. |

Good thinking BN
I'm sure everyone realises that you meant east to west for ck9 in the xxl.
I'm happy for the logo to be used for the burgee.
I've just run ck9 in the Friday race so it must be someone else's turn.
The more club members the better

yes i did mean east to west LOL thank you for clarifying that. IN A PUBLIC FORUM. hahaha.
i've had to re examine my feelings about waypoint vs scheduler. there are so many problems with the way the waypoint system works in actuality that it seems best to use scheduler in most instances except if you are close to land or marks and need to sleep. you will probably lose time and may stop altogether if your boat is within ten minutes of land at the waypoint . grrrr. |

well since you logged in and commented AS ck9 it's a bit difficult to tell which club memeber this might be if you thought you had her are you the one who''s sailing her now? |

HI Salty Seadogs.
Some of us are wanting to run another XXL to see if we can better our previous times. To do this we need good winds at the start and it is looking good in about five days (Feb 5th - 7th)
I will check the weather and post a start time in due course.
I will also try and get some others to join us.
