Just joined LS after having been introduced to virtual sailing through the VORG, as RoninBadkuip (hence my name DutchRonin here) in the standard category and Zilverwinde in the NMS group. Enjoyed that a lot, got better results after a couple of legs  , so would like to get more game skills by doing some challenges in LS. And then we'll see how this game & community develop...  |

van harte welkom bij Liveskipper. ik zelf heb de overstap gemaakt in 2009 nadat the vorg stopte in St. Petersburg. Heb er nooit spijt van gehad en dus 3jaar met veel plezier in LS gezeild. In Vorg zeilde ik Paradise boot en die zeil ik hier ook als mijn 2e boot, meestal in alternative races en we organiseren ook cruises volgens een door onszelf gekozen route. Ik ga nu over op engels want dat is de hoofdtaal in dit Engelse Forum.
WELCOME DUTCHRONIN to LIVESKIPPER (LS)
sorry fellows, but I was welcoming DutchRonin in his mothertongue to feel comfortable and I told him something on the crap in vorg and the good thinks in LS.
I was sailing Paradise in VORG , but somewhere they put me there in the category for "Other Countries" but not in the Hollanders groep 
The 0$ group is growing but still does not have the critical mass to start a separate alternative race with it, on top some training of ex-vorg sailors with the controls in LiveSkipper will increase your competitiveness.
Sailing you will know off already but it is the controls, the tools, the options and finesses in Liveskipper that you will have to learn in order to be able to beat our better sailors.
Once you enter a first race or challenge , it will show a short tutorial , that is good to learn the buttons.
I foresee a warm welcome from other players and hope you will find your way in sailing with us and competing with us. Do visit our Racebar [http://www.liveskipper.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5423] for a drink, a joke, and some news not directly related to the races.

Topics as Dev. Corner give some new facilities and updates from the game developers, in the English Forum the topics of
LiveSkipper features & rules give some detailed insight in the game and discussion to optimize your sailing,
Help? where questions are asked and mostly proper answers given mostly in a couple of hours but never longer than a day,
Weather/routing discussions talks on ........well the weather and in
LiveSkipper miscellaneous you will find the topics on races and other stuff.
Each Friday LS organizes a short FR race, very good to learn the strategies of the cracks in LS by just follow their course.
There is sometimes an alternative FR however, with a small group of befriend sailors, check it out http://www.liveskipper.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6026 Try it out. The links to join races are on the main page as well as the RACE&CHALLENGES page , which is under the GAME menu.
To learn the sailing in LS, the best way is: TO SAIL and ASK all questions You might have and no doubt in short time you can sail with the best
and remember: there is no stupid question, or maybe just that one not asked
any questions : ASK , in this Forum , the Help topic, the race topics, or in a PM(private message) to one of the SS(super skippers) , in busy races you may be lucky with an answer int he chatroom ; you will have an answer in a couple of hours mostly but never longer than a day.
