Many took a risk on that three pixel island on the route after the start.

Hi Friday Sailors Very Happy

Most boats cleared the Estern part of the Magelhaen channel and gate#2, now upto Gate #3

I see some boats sailing and "interesting" route bewteen gate #2 and #3, did not thought on that and fear I missed an opportunity to come closer to the leaders.

Sail on, some interesting wind shifts are coming Smile

The initial plan seemed to be the best at the time of entering the open sea, and the fastest route I could see.
Obviously not quite...maybe wind changes removed any of that advantage and swung it the way of those going to the SW end of gate #2. I was certainly next to Jimbeam as we entered the open sea.
I think approximately an hour lost in terms of boat speed due to wind changes overnight and having wrong sail hoisted due to those winds...
May claw a few places back...just proves you can make no mistakes at all to just stay in the top 50.
