I think most of the controls are intuitive, but if you need just ask..

there's also a wiki here .

You'll find races are organized roughly like this :
1. The Friday Series - usually about 24 races ( obviously every friday start)
2. Monday series - longer than the friday race, but again in a series.
3. long event races - usually by season ie summer / winter/ autumn

4. Alternate races - usually starting on a monday at 12:00. These are a re-run of the Friday races, with a couple of extra gates or marks thrown in - VERY GOOD FOR GETTING USED TO THE PLATFORM, as they are fun races...

Read the English forum for races etc, all go info here and there.

Boat types will be swapped about - do check on what type of boat you are sailing in any specific race... the polar diagram feature will give you an idea of performance.

Hello midnightexpress2 WELCOME to LIVESKIPPER, the Best Virtual Sailing Game on the WWWW ; (Whole World Wide Web). Smile

Kingfisher pointed already to a good clear wiki

Most of all , Have fun, Ask questions as much as you need to get your sailing boat under control and to get optimal results. There is mostly an answer within some hours, but always within a day.

Yes I did/do sail occasionally on sailonline.org and last year entered VLM, but for me LiveSkipper (LS) has better accuracy of Boat navigation and with the scheduler it is possible to set good courses during a healthy sleep Wink; Just make yourself familiar with the 2 different modes of scheduled sailing, there is one purple marks that is accurate in time, allows autoheading and another with green WP's that is accurate in coordinates, locations (good to avoid cliffs and validate gates) ; these 2 different modes can not be mixed, it is either or.

Fair Winds and Safe Sailing.
