When I try to load a race up on my iPhone I get an error message saying "error-error during the loading of weather"
I have tried it on both 3G and wifi. Never had a problem before until this morning. I also tried to load the game on my ps3 and it loads everything but then gets stuck on loading the weather.
I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled it. Hard closed te app, turned my phone off and still error message. Unfortunately I don't have my laptop at the min so can't try it on there.
Could it be my account, or perhaps NYE has done something in the UK?
p.s I am on an iPhone 3GS 16GB |

Hello,
Arg, sad to see this kind of problem right now.
I think we won't be able to work on it before monday, and with Apple submissions, it may take a while anyway.
Please, use the web version of the game to control your boat as long as the iPhone version is not fixed. I know it may be more difficult for some people with little access to a computer, but at least this way you will be able to do something.
Sorry about that, we will keep you updated about the fix. |

| Same for Western USA and I agree the change from 2010 to 2011 seems to give a clue. |

Hello dear skippers,
It looks like things are working again.
In fact we didn't do anything to fix it, as well as the cause does not seem to come from us. Well, looks like Apple's alarm bug that occured on January 1st and 2nd did not only impact the alarm function... Some date functions seemed to be broken within the iPhone framework, which prevented the player from downloading the weather files.
We are sorry about that, but we could do nothing about it before Apple fixed its software this morning.
Best regards, |

hallo Apple eaters
that is very good news , that your iPhone is able to steer your boat in LiveSkipper (LS) again
not that I understand it all, like the old radio that stopped working and continued after giving it a clap
well Drew_Smith and MacSport let me WELCOME you both in the atractive world of Virtual Sailing
And for sure you have chosen the best of the virtual sailing sites as you will soon discover.
You have discovered the Forum already and it is a lively forum which will enhance the virtual sailing experiences as we hear from many LS sailors.
If you would have any (other) problems please do not hesitate to post your questions in the forum or send a (PM) private message to one of the SS in the English Forum (EF)
The forum offers a variety of posts that give some explanation and advice to play this LS game.
for races you will find a separate topic under Miscellaneous , where sometimes strategical advice can be found.
By all means visit the Racebar, where it is good to drink a glass with your sailing friends, to tell some stories, hear the gossips and the jokes.
Note: maybe it is good to give you a warning for a couple of crazy, lunatic sailors that you may engage in one or the other seas or oceans. just stay away from them, though they may lure you closer, that mostly is just to get/crab/receive/take some drinks, food , or ladies from you. You will soon recognise them, as mostly they are sailing in groups as well ; they even appear in the LS forum in some special topics You be warned
But most of all enjoy the sailing |
