CK9's and others.
I reckon a good start day would be Feb 2nd
However CK9 is not back and Questor needs a rest and a refit before setting out again.
We will delay the start for now.

Hi guys,

Shore team are doing an excellent job, reckon I should be fit for sailing again in a day or two (Can go anytime from now). Once I find a sponsor.

Now where was that fella with the chequebook.

Hi guys,
My procrastination has missed the perfect day for a start (today)
Looking ahead, maybe 8th Feb will be OK. I will confirm a day or two prior.
At least CK9 should be back by then.
Watch this space.

Hi all dogs,

I was thinking of increasing a bit of the competition in the Fr races and starting a pelagic canine league.

It would be quite simple and require nothing from the members. I will record the rankings of the members in each FR and issue points as follows.

1st 10pts
2nd 9pts
3rd 8pts
4th 7pts
5th 6pts
6th 5pts
7th 4pts
8th 3pts
9th 2pts
10th 1pt

I will post in this thread on the Monday following each FR the standings of the race and the current league positions of the members.

I have done points up to 10th in the hope we may get some new members. Anyone outside of the top 10 score no points.

This league I will start with this weeks FR.

Brilliant idea Quest. As you say, it may well increase club membership.
Did the fact that your boat was glowing at the start of the last Fr race inspire you?

Still waiting for good winds. Stand by for 3 - 4 days time 10th -11th Feb.
It's not ideal, but we can't wait forever.

Nothing to do with it at all Wink

I was looking at the club rankings for Australia race and saw the list of FR races that have past and had the idea then.

So from this friday we can see who is top dog!

Have you discovered the club rankings pages?

Just a pity that club rankings do not offer a summary for overall and the FRs rankings else the work would all be done for you.

Yes saw the club rankings pages, that's what gave me the idea. Looking forward to starting the new competition on Friday.

All club members remember, you need to finish the race to get points!

Is there any word on a round the world race yet? Is it xxl again or standard jules Verne?

Hi guys
I know it's a long way off, but the weather is finally coming right and 17th Feb looks like a good start date.
I will go firm a couple of days before that, so that everyone is straining at the leash when the time comes.
It is looking like some others will join us too Very Happy
