The Polar projections are shown with red lines around your Boat at the current location, using the wind conditions at your Boat. During the start of the Game, this is your boat; later you may change this to the location of your set Marks. These curves represent the possible positions your boat can sail to in a given time-period. For each heading, the Polar projections show, in response to changing winds and Sails used, where the boat will be located in 3 hours, 6 hours and so on.
The curves are spaced in steps of 3 hours, except the last one, which is the time-period defined in the projections setting panel. This panel is opened by clicking on the Projections icon of the menu.
Polar Projections show the influence of the heading of the Boat and the wind angle. This is discussed in more detail with the Sails .
Right of this slider, you can select to show the Polar projections either for a static- or a dynamic mode. Choosing static, will use the steady wind conditions at the location of the boat or Mark for the Polar projections. Choosing dynamic, will use the changing wind-conditions along the route for the calculation of Polar projections.

A new facility is shown in this Image: the estimated path with an indication of the Sailing time till you reach the ultimate Polar Projection.
The indication is visible when you check the Estimated Path in the Game settings. It will be shown only for the active element to coincide with the Polar Projections. And it shows only for your Boat, when it is the active element or the last Mark, when that is the active element. The timing corresponds with the slider setting of the Polar Projections.
