To open your Personal Profile, click the FORUMS menu and PROFILE sub-menu. A form with many entry fields will open, ready for You to specify Your Profile Information.

The Profile Information will be visible in the LiveSkipper site for all other Players. The information is not compulsory, but will give the other LiveSkipper players some information on Your person.

Some fields offer you the possibility to specify contact details in ICQ , in AIM, in MSN Messenger, in Yahoo Messenger. It allows you also to inform others on your Personal Web-site.

You can specify your Location. This will be visible in your Forum posts, added with your Country flag. The Location information is very helpful for others in finding LiveSkippers in their neighborhood.

You may specify your Occupation and Interest to inform others that may share your work or interests.

A Signature is a field that allows you to write some Personal text or to show some Image. The field is however only 255 characters large. A signature will appear at the bottom of all your posts, if you click the YES check-box in the question below: Always attach my signature.
LiveSkipper offers a dynamic Image showing some of your Sailing Successes, normally your Best Race result and a current Race; the link information is given on the profile page.

Some 9 selections are offered, to be answered with Yes or No. You can select to have your e-mail icon shown in your posts, or to receive an email if someone reacts on your Post, to show your Signature, and to allow the HTML code and Smiley to beautify your posts. Specifying your Language, will offer you the correct language on the LiveSkipper pages. The time stamp on the posts in the forum will be in your local time if you specify it in your profile. (the time indication in the Game screen will always refer to GMT time.) You can select your preferred format for a Date mentioned on the LiveSkipper screens.

An Avatar is a small image, you may call it logo, that is visible on the left side of each of Your Posts and also in Your Boat Information Window. An Avatar has some limitations to be accepted by the LiveSkipper server. The width and height of the Avatar can be maximum 80 * 80 pixels. The file size can not be more than 10 KB.

Still if you see some Avatars, a lot is possible to create interesting ones; some even include an animation.

Three methods are available to load your Avatar into the LiveSkipper servers:

• Select an Avatar from a Gallery
• Select an Avatar from the Images on your own Computer
• Select a link to an Image on the internet.

After you have entered all the information that you want to be included in Your Profile , you can click on Submit button. After some seconds the information of your Profile will be visible in LiveSkipper.
