Still no bug fix? LiveSkipper app crashes every time I enter my password. Tried re-install but no change. No one seems to be interested in LS land. Seems like a lot to charge for an app that doesn't work and support is unresponsive. Anyone got the developers email and I will try to help them fix the glitch

Hi Hutch,
We are not aware of such a problem on the 4G...
Is it a jailbreaked iPhone?

Have you tried to create another account from the iPhone directly?
With more info, we'll be able to help.

Hi Denosya,

It's a regular O2 iPhone - not jailbroken. I opened www.LiveSkipper.com and logged in but just get a "Welcome to LiveSkipper iPhone" page but there's no tabs or links visible.

If I touch the LiveSkipper app icon I get the login page and then after the next page comes up it immediately closes the app, everytime.

Hope this is helpful

Please let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks
Hutch

Hi Hutch,

I saw you tried a reinstall, did you delete it from your phone (while on the phone) to start with? That "should" clear out any data files - then do the re-install through iTunes. (again, I am sure that is what you already did, just confirming)

I do not have any problems on my 4G, 3GS or 3G phones - and i run LS all the time.

One other possible thing to try, try force quitting the app while you are on your iPhone. Meaning double-tap the home button, bring up the dashboard, hold down on the LS app for a few seconds and then click the "x" in the corner to force it to quit and not try to run in the background. (even though it is not a background running app currently)

I am not one of the developers, I am just trying to help you get it running properly

good luck

bill

Bill - thanks so much for taking the time to help me with this problem.

I have previously tried your suggestions but re-tried them, just in case. Unfortunately the problem is still there with the clean re-install so I presume there's some conflict with something else installed.

Hopefully one of the developers will be able to figure it out. LiveSkipper was working perfectly on my previous 3G iPhone 3.

Hello Hutch,

Did you change anything about your account (username, password...) at the time you switched from the 3G to the iPhone 4?

Regards.

just to be complete and cover all the bases...

- What version of iOS 4 are you running? 4.1 is the current release
- Has LS ever worked on this phone?
- Did you migrate from a 3GS and restore your backup to this 4G phone, or did you set up the account fresh on this phone?
- Any other apps that are giving troubles?

(feeling a bit like Tech Support with all of those questions) Shocked

And to add a question of my own to Ino & Denosya - are there plans or a timeline, that you can share, for a general update to the LS iPhone app to fix a few of the other bugs and add a few features that are present in the desktop version? I know you all are heads down working on the next Flash Player version, but I did not know if you guys are the same team that wrote the iPhone app. I don't want to hold you to anything of course, and you may not want to share anything in public at this time (PM would be fine) Wink

I have 4.1 software and LS has never worked on this phone. It was a fresh set up on this phone and no other apps are causing problems.

Hello Hutch,

In Settings > General > Date & Time of your iPhone, is the "24-Hour Time" option enabled ?

If it's not enabled, can you enable this option and test the application ?
