The chat is a means of instantaneous communication available in a separate window just below the game window. The chats are not maintained for a long time-period.

The chat will automatically open a chatroom linked to the current race. If multiple races are open in different browser pages, each Race has its separate chatroom.

The chat has a channel by language (English, French, Spanish), each displayed in a different chatroom tab.

The chat connects automatically to the default chatroom of the race. You can disable this behavior by using the button Disconnect , at the top right of the chat window. Once disconnected, the chat has a button Connection to reconnect. If it was offline, the chat will not connect automatically to the next visit.

You can talk directly to another skipper in a separate chatroom by double clicking on the skippers name. A new chatroom tab, with the skipper's name, will open for private discussion.

If the player is member of a Club in LiveSkipper, an extra chatroom with the name of the Club is available automatic. This chatroom is the same for all races, and brings together the members from the same club.
