Menu Bar

Race information

This provides following information:

  • The name of the current Race,
  • Current Date
  • Current Time as GMT
  • * Before a Race is started: The time till the Start of the Race (counting down)
  • * After the Race has started: the Classification of your boat in the Race
  • * Before a Challenge is opened: The time till the Start of the Race (counting down)
  • * After a Challenge has been Opened: the Time of Sailing in the Challenge.

Game Settings Window

Displayed Boats

By Default all checks are on. If you consider this too many boat in the Game, you can un-check some or all of the boats, which will empty the screen.

  • Friends Boats: Boats included in your Friends list
  • Historical Boats: The Boat with the fastest time in the Challenge in sync with your sailing time.
  • Best Boats:
  • Real Boats: the Real Boat that is sailing a Real Sailing Race, e.g. Jules Verne
  • Other Boats: a number of other participants Boats in the Race or Challenge is shown. Normally the first 10 Boats, some boats close to use and some random over the route.

Sailing Options

  • Checkpoints: Markers on the Start, Gate- and Finish buoys can be removed or shown; very good indication for the described sailing race route.
  • My Boat only: this will remove all other boats from the screen and show your boat only as a crosshair with boat-indicator. Click on the blue square boat indicator, to remove it as well.
  • Estimated path: a thin green line will indicate the path your boat will follow till the end of the Projections time shown.

Game Options

  • Hide Start Screen: This will prevent the Start Screen to appear while reloading the Game.
  • System Fullscreen: This will maximize the Game window to the maximum of your monitor, while pressing the Fullscreen Icon; even removing the Browser buttons. Press Esc on your keyboard to return to Normal view.

Cursor Options

This will allow to view some details at your mouse location

  • Wind Angle: degree
  • Wind Speed: kts
  • Position: longitude and latitude in degrees

Game Mode

This allows to switch between Beginner and Advanced Mode. Please be aware that while switching from Advanced to Beginner Mode, you will loose all features that are not supported by the Beginner Mode.

  • Beginner Mode
  • Advanced Mode

Clean

  • Tracks: removes all tracks from all the boats shown from the screen
  • Marks: removes all you Marks. Be aware that You will loose any Scheduler or Waypoints programmed Marks as well.

Reload the Game

This Reload icon activates a refresh of the game sailing progress data, without leaving the game. It will actualize the wind forecast and refresh the weather grib file

Friends

Provides access to the Friends Window to Manage your Friends.

Polars Window

Provides access to the Window that shows the Polar Diagram for your Boat with current settings for heading and sail, the type of Boat and it shows your boat's performance with the wind conditions at current location.

Full view window

This button will enable or disable full window view. Full window mode, the game fills the entire display area of ​​the browser. On some browsers (Chrome, Firefox), the F11 key will switch the browser to full screen mode. Using the full window mode under these conditions, the playing area occupies most of the screen. Full window mode allows you to stretch the playing area on several screens at once if the computer allows.

Zoom Level

The two buttons (+) and (-) can increase or decrease the zoom level of the map. The zoom level can also be controlled using the mouse wheel; some call this also virtual binocular.
